American Legion Riders

Goals of the American Legion Riders:·

  • Promote American Legion membership.
  • Use our programs to support veterans' issues, veterans' homes and hospitals.
  • Provide a social atmosphere for our American Legion and Legion Riders families.
  • Promote motorcycle safety and motorcycle riders rights.
  • Participate in runs, events and charitable functions within our communities.
  • Participate in parades and other ceremonies that are in keeping with the aims and purposes of the American Legion.

2017  Event Calendar


The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall will be arriving in the Tri-Cities on Wednesday, May 24th. The escort will meet at the 9/11 memorial on Hwy 395 at 2:00 pm. KSU at 3:00 pm. Vehicles are welcome and will be staged after the motorcycles. The ride will end at City View Cemetery in Pasco and will be on display through Memorial Day. More details will be posted as they become available.

2018-01-26Completed ALR Events:

  1. Tuesday, Jan 1st, 2013 Polar Bear Rider was cold.  But it was great to get out and ride the two wheels!  ~22 people participated, although there were a few that rode 4 wheels. 
  2. Sunday, March 17th Breakfast and ALR Monthly Meeting
  3. Saturday, March 23rd U.S. Coast Guard Open House and assist OTY. Five ALR Members participated.  Thanks to Jake and Cindy, Ken, John F. and John S.
  4. April 6, Pellets Rifle Shoot for Freedom 10am to 4pm. Sponsored by American Legion Post 4 with all proceeds going to Guardians of Freedom.  $3 for each pellet shoot.  Prizes awarded for most targets in the shortest time.  At these locations: Canyon Country Cycle, Full Throttle MC Accessories, Thunder Alley Victory & Triumpth, and Ranch and Home Kennewick.
  5. Wheels and Wings Children' Poker Run - April 14th at Jackson's Kennewick, Signup at 10am, KSU at Noon.  (Biker Games and BBQ to follow)  This year we will be riding for Bailey, a 2 year old little girl diagnosed with brain cancer. She has spent the several few months at Children's Hospital in Seattle WA. She has already had one brain surgery to remove a tumor that was cancer and has since been undergoing extensive Chemo treatments. After this final round of chemo and she is strong she will be transported to Texas for new treatment.  Signup starting Feb 18th at Richland and Kennewick Jackson's.  $15 for Rider, $10 for Passenger - $20 and $15 at the door..
  6.  April 20th,  The Abate of Washington Liberty Ride will be held on April 20, 2013 at the Veterans Memorial in Columbia Park - Kennewick, WA. Registration is $20/person, it will have a 5 stop ride and ends with BBQ, Silent Auction, Raffle Prizes and fun! VIP Vendors " Friends of NRA" will hosts a hand gun raffle, all raffle proceeds to benefit "Friends of NRA".
  7. Due to the many events on our scheduled monthly meeting, it has been moved to Thursday May 23, 2013 at 1830 (6:30pm) Legion hall in Pasco. This was done to hopefully accommodate more and bring more to the monthly meeting.
  8.  Dayton, Washington Memorial Day Parade – May 25, 2013 (Saturday) / Meet at the Legion hall in Pasco at 0800 ready to ride.
  9. American Legion Pasco Events – May 27, 2013 (Monday) Meet at the Legion in Pasco at 0930 Columbia Memorial Gardens – 1000, Lunch Ride, City View Cemetery / Gold Star Mothers – 1300

  15. November 7, 2013 – Highlands Middle School Military Appreciation Day.  Be at Highlands Middle School by 9:15am.  Lunch Provided.  Great event!  Once again, an awesome day!
  16. November 9, 2013 – West Richland Veterans Day Parade / Meeting at Circle K/Exxon at 0800hrs.  Largest Veterans Day Parade in Washington State.  Come out and support Veterans! A lot warmer than last year and a great turnout.  Thanks!
  17. November 11, 2013 – Veterans Day Ceremony / City View Cemetery  in Pasco.  Few in number, but a great speaker.  Thanks for showing up to honor Veterans.
